Privacy
What this website does with information about you, described as it stands today.
- Who
This site has one author, Federico Rita, and he is the only person who decides what it does with information. Write to federico.rita@tuta.com.
- Server logs
Any web server records the address of the device that asks for a page, the browser it uses, the time of the request and the page requested. European data protection law treats those records as personal data, because an address can point to a person. Cloudflare serves this site, and its network answers each request from the data centre nearest the visitor, which may sit outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare holds those records as a processor on my behalf, under its own data protection terms. I have not switched on log retention, so none of them reaches me. Cloudflare does not publish a single retention period for the plan this site uses, and I would rather say I do not know it than write a plausible figure. The basis for holding them at all is legitimate interest, in delivering the site and keeping it standing.
- Cookies
None. No page on this site sets or reads a cookie, and none uses browser storage.
- Statistics
None. No page carries an analytics script, and no page loads any script from another domain.
- Typefaces
The five typefaces are files on this server, not a call to a font service. Nothing about your visit travels to anyone else in order to draw this text.
- Forms
None. There is nothing here to fill in. If you write to the address above, that correspondence stays in my mailbox.
- Links out
Two, and they are the only ones. A thesis held by the TU Delft repository, linked from What I think, and my LinkedIn profile, linked from Contact. Both are run by other organisations under their own terms, and this page does not speak for them.
- Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or removed, and object to it being held at all. Write to the same address, and I will answer.
